After seeing the Saitama Seibu Lions play the Swallows in Tokyo, I decided to re-design them next!
I noticed the Lion fans wore lots of light blue, and the retro Lion logo was popular. Despite only serving as a sleeve patch on their home uniforms, it is the main logo on much of the team apparel.
For this redesign, I focused on modernizing the Lion logo, while also adding more light blue. This includes full light blue away uniforms, like they used to wear. The one element I kept was from their current set was the Lions blackletter word mark, which I feel is both strong and unique among the NPB teams.
東京で埼玉西武ライオンズ対スワローズの試合を観戦した後、次はライオンズのユニフォームをリデザインすることに決めました。
ライオンズのファンが水色の服を多く着ていることや、レトロなライオンズのロゴが人気であることに気づきました。ホームユニフォームでは袖のパッチとしてしか使われていませんが、チームのグッズの多くではメインのロゴとして採用されています。
今回のリデザインでは、ライオンズのロゴを現代風に刷新すると同時に、水色の使用をさらに増やすことに重点を置きました。これには、かつて着用していたような、全身水色のアウェイユニフォームも含まれます。現行のユニフォームから残した要素は、ライオンズのブラックレター体ワードマークだけです。これはNPBのチームの中でも力強く、かつユニークな存在だと感じているからです。
